~~WHAT IS PiYo?! 


Piyo is inspired by Pilates and Yoga but consists of SO MUCH MORE ~~> {Body weight training, sculpting, flexibility, cardio, functional strength, core work, BOOTY WORK, etc. It's stuff that EVERYONE (novice to athlete) can do! It's low impact {less injuries!!} but promises AMAZING RESULTS! 



It's a high-intensity, low impact workout for a new kind of STRONG. Chalene Johnson took the very best Pilates and Yoga inspired moves and cranked up the speed to give you a full throttle body strength training, cardio, sculpting, functional strength, core work, BOOTY work, and flexibility training, all at once. Quinoa Chicken Chili



Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) can of diced tomatoes
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 (15 ounce) can of black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can of chili beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can of corn, drained
2 cups chicken broth
2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (use 3 if they're small) 
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2-3 teaspoons chili powder
1 cup of quinoa, rinsed 
Toppings of your choice (cheese, sour cream, avocados, and tortilla strips)

Directions:
Make sure you rinse the quinoa and then add everything into a 6 quart slow cooker.
Cook for 6-8 hours on low or 4-6 hours on high. If you're using frozen chicken you may have to cook it longer.
Remove chicken and shred it with two forks. Return to slow cooker.
Garnish with cheese, sour cream, avocados, and tortilla strips.

Tuna or Chicken Avocado Salad

Ingredients:
1/2 Avocado
Can Light Tuna (Or Chicken)
1 Hard Boiled Egg
Pepper

Option to add:
Cucumber
Onion
Black Olive
Tomato
Black Bean

Directions:
Mash together and enjoy plain or on a wrap!

Turbo Fire Chili

Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground turkey
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
8oz whole kernel corn
1/2 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves
8oz black beans
8oz pinto, chili, or kidney beans
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 pkg Lawrey's Chili seasoning
4 oz low-fat shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions:

Brown turkey. 
Drain and discard any fat. 
Place all ingredients except cheese into a slow cooker. 
Cook for 4 hours on low, or 2 hours on high. 
Top with 1 oz. cheese, if desired.

Vegetarian Option:
Substitute the turkey for extra beans! You can add corn, red peppers, mushrooms....tons of other veggies...you really can't mess it up!

Zucchini Lasagna

Ingredients:

1 lb of lean ground turkey
Mrs. Dash seasoning
1 Tsp garlic powder
3 or 4 small zucchini sliced lengthwise
24 oz of low fat or 1% cottage cheese or low fat ricotta cheese
1 Jar spaghetti sauce
Chopped Onion
Non fat or low fat mozzarella cheese *Optional





Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.

Combine ground turkey, garlic powder, Mrs. Dash, and onion, in a skillet and brown turkey.
Combine turkey mixture with the cottage or ricotta cheese.
Layer Zucchini in the bottom of your pan.
Spread a layer of the ground turkey and cheese mixture.
Spread a layer of sauce on top.
Repeat this over again for as many layers as you'd like.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake in the oven for about 1 hour.
Remove the foil and continue to bake for 10 more minutes. 
Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
